Lace Bowls

These bowls and doilies are NOT made of fabric! They consist of only thread. The designs, or patterns are embroidered onto a water soluble stabilizer. After the sections are sewn together, they are rinsed, which washes away the stabilizer,and shaped throughout the drying process. When dry, you are left with a beautiful bowl, doily, etc. that looks just like lace!! Although it may sound simple, these items require an attention to detail, and many hours -- some take up to 15 hours of actual sewing time! This is just the beginning of what I will be making. Daylily - These are beautiful and intricately designed. The doily measures 9" in diameter. The bowl is 5" across the top, 3 1/2" deep, 3" base.
